I am not an orchid grower

Hello,

My name is Amanda,

I am not an orchid grower. I have no experience growing orchids. If you say to me, “I know about plants”, yes maybe, but I know nothing about orchids. I have been growing tropical plants for the past 17 years, and I’ve gardened outdoors since I was a child, but I have never grown orchids before.

I grow indoor tropical plants for their foliage. I keep a garden for the greatness of growing from seed and the high of growing knowing I did that in tandem with nature.

Growing orchids is a new way of learning how to grow. Ochids challenge me on how I currently know how to grow.

Since the beginning of 2018 my collection of orchids has gone from none to thirteen, on a combo of local stock and ordering within my country.

If you’re interested, follow me on my journey as I learn how to grow orchids in the northern part of the northern hemisphere (53°N). Oh yeah, and there’s a Sully Dog every once in awhile; who is also a turkey.
